                 Kraken post OT victory over Wings, 5-4 After a homestand that featured some good, some bad and a whole lotta ugly, the Seattle Kraken took to the road and bested the Detroit Red Wings, 5-4, at Little Caesars Arena. Jordan Eberle notched the game winner, his first of the season off a pass from linemate Jared McCann with only four seconds remaining in the overtime frame.. Seattle improves its record to 2-4-1 on the season and halts a five-game winning streak by the resurgent Wings. The Kraken defeated Detroit by an identical 5-4 overtime score in their last trip to the Motor City last February. Oliver Bjorkstrand tallied the game winner in that contest. McCann and Jaden Schwartz had goals in both games with Schwartz earning scoring number one star of the game honors with two goals. The Kraken provided plenty of excitement for Pacific Northwest sports fans- not to mention a few surprises- as the team embarked on a Cinderella ride through the NHL   playoffs before losing to the Dallas Stars in the deciding seventh game of the Western Division semifinals.               Kraken drop home opener to Avalanche, 4-1 Despite a change of venue and the excitement of Opening Night, the Kraken’s early-season scoring woes continued as the Kraken dropped a 4-1 decision to the Colorado Avalanche. After scoring a mere two goals in three road games, the Kraken could only muster one goal off Colorado netminder Alexandar Georgiev. last night’s number-one star.
